A low, round-bellied carafe blown free-hand in amber glass — a shape borrowed almost exactly from the demijohns that once carried table wine out of the Alentejo. It holds a full bottle with room to breathe, and it looks like something regardless of what is in it.

Hand wash with warm water and a bottle brush. Avoid dishwasher detergents, which will slowly dull the ground base. Not suitable for hot liquids.
